Routes Into Teaching

There are many different routes you can take to get into teaching and gain UK Qualified Teacher Status  (QTS), for Primary or Secondary level. Many of them are flexible to work around your current commitments and needs, take into consideration experience you may have already gained and there is funding and support available. 

We recommend that you carefully consider all the routes you are eligible for before making your decision about your path to becoming a qualified teacher; a legal requirement to build a career teaching in UK state-maintained schools.
