Leading Edge Schools

The Leading Edge Partnership programme is a Standards Scheme organised and accredited by the DfES. It builds on the success and knowledge about collaborative practice gained from the previous Beacon Schools programme. The Partnership supports groups of secondary schools, including special schools, to work together to tackle some of the most intractable barriers to raising standards.

Schools within these partnerships will be committed to working collaboratively to design, develop, test and share innovative ideas to raise standards of teaching and learning where improvement is most urgently needed. In Hounslow, this initiative is also supported within the Excellence in Cities framework http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/sie/eic/
